1. Introduction

Book Builder (“the App”) is provided by Stacey Brasier (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App, including integration with Google services.

By using Book Builder, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the App.

 

2. Information We Collect

When you use the App, we may collect:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, and authentication details provided through Google sign-in.

  • Google Drive & Docs Data: When you connect Google Drive, the App may create folders and documents on your behalf, read file metadata (file name, IDs, structure), and manage documents that are explicitly created or selected through the App.

  • Usage Data: Basic analytics, error logs, and feature usage to improve the App.

We do not access or store the contents of your Google Docs except as needed to create and manage documents within the App.

 

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Authenticate your account and maintain your session.

  • Create, list, and manage Books and Chapters using Google Drive & Docs.

  • Provide seamless writing and editing features.

  • Improve and support the App.


4. Google API Services

Book Builder’s use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically:

  • The App only requests the minimum scopes needed (drive.file, drive.metadata, documents).

  • Data from Google Drive/Docs is only used to provide App functionality (creating and managing your book documents).

  • We do not sell or share Google user data with third parties.


5. Data Storage & Security

  • Tokens used to access Google Drive are securely stored and encrypted.

  • We do not permanently store your document contents on our servers; they remain in your Google Drive.

  • We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data.


6. Sharing of Information

We do not share your personal data or Google data with third parties, except:

  • When required by law or legal process.

  • To protect our rights, safety, or the safety of others.


7. Your Choices

  • You may disconnect your Google account at any time in the App. This will revoke the App’s access to your Google Drive and prevent further document creation or management.

  • You may delete your account and associated data by contacting us at hello@staceybrasier.com.

8. Children’s Privacy

Book Builder is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13.

 

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will always be posted at https://staceybrasier.com/app-privacy-policy with a revised “Last Updated” date.
